I’ve trusted Rivergate Veterinary Clinic with my furry family for over 15 years, and returning to them felt like coming home. My journey with Rivergate started with my first dog, Gelybean. They were incredible throughout her life. When she was a puppy I thought she was going to die; she had kennel cough that would not go away and other issues that needed treatment. But Dr. Kross' team fought for her and saved her. When she passed two years ago, it was a profound loss, and after moving downtown, I hadn't been back. Six months ago, I welcomed a new Maltipoo puppy, Eevi. Wanting a vet closer to my home in Soho, I tried a new clinic. It was a traumatic experience for both of us. The staff was careless, dropping Eevi not once, but twice. The second time, they took her to the back room, and wh

I’ve been going to Dr. Kross for well over 30 years. Taking care of my beloved pets from the beginning of their life to their end. He’s the most knowledgeable, compassionate and caring veterinarian I’ve ever been to. I wouldn’t take my precious fur babies to anyone else! And my pet can sense how special and loving he is and immediately warm up to him.

Absolutely the best experience we could have hoped for. A bit of background: we brought our cats from Turkey, where veterinary practices are quite different and vets are generally comfortable handling cats even when they freak out. After switching between five clinics in the U.S., this was the first clinic that truly understood cats and knew how to approach them properly. I was exhausted from constantly apologizing for my fur balls’ behavior (despite 400 mg of gabapentin in their veins over 12 hours). Dr. Tolle and the assisting staff were incredibly professional, patient, and kind. The main reason for our visit was preparing our cats to travel back to Turkey, and I genuinely think our luck peaked when we met Leo. He was exceptionally professional, understanding, and helpful throughout t

I wish I could give more stars. Dr. Eve and the whole team at Rivergate are so amazing. Thorough, caring, kind, knowledgable and comprehensive. They took really great care of our dog who is terrified of vets for a dental cleaning and extraction and gave great aftercare guidance and recommendations for ongoing dental care. Prices are amazing compared to other places in the city with superior service. I have recommended them to everyone I know with a dog.

Although the experience I have had with Dr. Kaminsky over the years was generally positive. When my dog was seriously injured and needed immediate assistance, I was completely unable to get in touch with the clinic. The staff did not return my calls or answer them or passed the messege to Dr. Kaminski. I had reached out to Dr. Kaminski multiple times via email and through the staff no response. This is unacceptable. The older lady who runs the Front Desk is probably the most rude human being you’ll ever encounter in your life and to have such a dispassionate individual be the front face for a clinic whose soul goal is supposed to be helping animals is deplorable. I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for a more compassionate institution. That really does care about your animal. Rather
