Reston Animal Hospital

I have enjoyed this animal hospital for my black lab. I transferred from Vienna, which I also liked, but happen to like Reston more as pricing seems more fair. I also was able to experience their honesty when having to have teeth pulled. My dog has stayed with them in their kennel and it was a great experience. My only complaint is they don’t do weekends anymore.

I’ve been debating writing this review for almost a year. Back in April of 2025 our 10 year old dog started to scratch herself like crazy. So we took her in to get checked out. They determined it was allergies and gave her an allergy shot. It appeared to help for about 2 weeks. In a month we were to give her another round of allergy shots. So we did. After the 2nd round of allergy shots her symptoms got worse. Intense itching, awful rash all over, losing hair, dry scaly patches of skin. We were told it was just allergies and to give her another 150$ shot. Which we did under the advisement of the vet. Finally a month later we brought her back in because her hair loss and symptoms have gotten even worse. I had to beg for testing for other diseases. When I did the vet rolled her eyes at me an

We’ve been going to Reston Animal Hospital for our pet care since 1996. They are the very best. Dr. Victoria Cracas was my dog’s vet for many of his almost 16 years. I was grateful for her excellence, skills and professionalism, but also for her compassion, personal touch and kindness until the last moment of his life. He was healthier and had better quality of life while under her guidance. The entire staff were fabulous and loved welcoming him every time we had an appointment. Hats off to them!

First Iwords spoken to me by the Doctor was " Chance was been neglected and mistreated". I was like did you just say that to me? He continued to yell it. What he didn't know, I had already taken Chance to another Vet 6 months prior.. Then, I decided not to have Chance be seen. However, they had started the process before I could stop it. So I decided to let them finish. A process for which the previous Vet had done (shaving of blotches of hair). They told me once this was done it would not come back well, again, they didn't know - it was shaved, and came back. Photos are the job the job has been attached. They ask for payment up front however, you don't get to see the finish result until (ONLY SHAVED JUST THE TOP) Had my baby for 8 hours.........Yet, I'm neglecting and mistreated my baby.
