Around August 7, 2025. My mom 86 year old moderately impaired mother was trying hard to explain to me that a woman who worked in the office got her to sign some papers. So I had to ask her a few more questions to try to understand. I still didn't understand. I ask the unit manager, the unit manager called the business office and she came down to talk to me, mind you I'm her LEGAL power of Attorney. The business office said we hadn't received checks from social security in 2 months so we called social security and social security said they sent out notification that all paper checks would stop. Mind you all her mail goes there but I never see it. Social security said they sent out electronic check permission form to sign for them to get the checks electronically deposited .

Despite many reviews being average or poor, my experience was favorable. My mom needed a sub-acute rehab facility for 7-14 days after surgery. She was there 13 days and went in unable to even sit up and left walking well with her walker. The therapy team was fantastic, they worked with her and were patient and practical in their approach. We also had many amazing nurses and aids such as Daniel, Shannon and Pat just to name a few. We did not have any bad experiences with the staff at all. We also had a good experience with every member of the administrative staff as well. The food wasn’t the best but it wasn’t a vacation it was a place for my mom to heal and recover and everyone who helped her accomplish that was respectful and competent.

this facility is run badly. the nurses and aid could care less about their patients, patients are neglected, or the family's requests are ignored. the aids don't know how to persuade a patient to take showers. the patients can go months without a shower. My mother's scalp had chunks of dirt on it. If patient can't brush their own teeth, their teeth don't get brushed. any nice piece of clothing or bedding [ blanket or quilt] is stolen... or lost in the laundry. The Regal Heights staff are very knowledgeable as well as caring and supportive. They took great care of our father for several months. In our opinion, they are the best healthcare and rehabilitation center. They treated us like family and went the extra mile on several occasions. They keep residents engaged with fun activities while providing excellent nursing care as well as great speech, occupational and physical therapy.

I was very cautious at first with my family member being placed here but after a while I learned to relax. The Nurses and the AIDS that I have dealt with are very caring. There are issues that pop up from time to time but they are addressed when they happen. The only negative issue I would change if I could would be the food. There could definitely be some improvement in this area.
