Raleigh General Emergency Room

I arrived at the hospital at about 4 pm for strong abdominal pain. They wanted to take an mri, very few people in there being treated and it still took 3 hours to get the test. It's now well after 9:30 pm and thr doctor has not once been in to see me. This whole ordeal is taking much too long for them to either treat me or turn me loose. It near the end I was the only patient in the ER.

Ambulance crew were completely rude. Long wait in the ER. When discharged, I had no ride nor a way to contact one Bec cell phone was dead. The security guards were harassing me and following me to get off the hospital grounds. I will say this much, I am a epileptic and they wouldn't allow me to even have water to take my medicine. I was forced to leave in the freezing cold while raining and anything could have happened. My opinion of this place is...be prepared to come out in a coffin. It's the worst medical treatment I have ever received. I would rather travel further to get better medical treatment

It took a while to get back to a bed in the emergency room. Once back there the nurse came in maybe 3 times to check on me. I had to stop another nurse in the hallway in front of my room because I needed to use the restroom. I didn't get put in a room until 11:00 or 11:30pm and I was took back into the emergency room at 1:00pm. I would say that they are alright, they just need to check on the patients more and keep the patients informed.

I came to WV for a golf trip the first night could not sleep and went to the hospital with a abdominal pain. The ER nurses were great in the whole process. I ended up getting admitted with appendicitis, had surgery the next morning, and ended up staying a night at the hospital. The overall experience was positive, and the nurses were great. Treat people how you want to be treated and the experience will be great. No golf for me.

I checked in the emergency room regarding chest pains and they took me in almost immediately and performed an ekg within a short time frame from my arrival. The physician (Tim) which was on er duty at the time of my arrival and he was very understanding, customer friendly and detailed. And Hunter my RN was very caring in regards to his patient's. Thy both seemed dedicated and committed to the patients needs. The only negative issue in my entire visit was checking out. The staff seemed more concerned about there social life than checking me out. Overall I was impressed with the entire experience.
