Publix Pharmacy at Shoppes at Paradise Pointe

I was in need of a prescription transfer from my home pharmacy in Wisconsin that had to be done immediately due to limited hours at the store in Wisconsin over the New Years holiday season. The staff here took care of that transfer right away. Then I needed to wait until after January 1 to have it filled so that my new insurance, which wasn’t in effect until Jan 1 would cover it. The situation was further complicated by the fact I needed my first dose on Jan 4. On Jan 2 when it was time to fill it, a software problem wouldn’t allow the transaction to go through with the insurance company. Staff member Wyatt handled everything over he phone by contacting the insurance company as well as transferring the prescription to a different pharmacy, to make sure I got my medicine by the day I needed

There are frustrating things in life, fight against so many things that are wrong with the healthcare system. The pharmacist manager is terrible, as well as the tall employee. I have been picking up my medication in this pharmacy Publix, it sucks no matter where I go in fort Walton beach I have change to the other pharmacy location thinking that was one employee but no. Is the lack of responsibility of the employees with the patients. So a root problem of the company. the management and the pharmacist that think that they do not have responsibility with the patient. Extremely convenient because of the location.. gotta love a “Pub Sub” or Sushi or my fav is any fresh Seafood.. and don’t forget to weigh yourself on the way out!!

Walked in for information about which vaccine was being administered at the location. The pharmacist was very kind and informative, even offering the time to administer. Got the vaccine, barely felt the stick! Had my three year old with me, the entire process was a breeze. Definitely coming back here for my 2nd dose. He was amazing!

I was visiting from out of town and needed a rx filled immediately. This is a blood thinner that I have to take daily. I spoke to my doctor back home, and he called the rx in immediately. I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacy stated she did not have the rx, and my physician did not call it in. I called the doctor again, they called it in again. I went back to the pharmacy and she again stated that they did not have the prescription. I called my pcp while I was standing at the pharmacy desk, and my pcp requested to speak to the pharmacist and she refused. She stated I can't help you now, I am on my break and walked away. My pcp called back in 30 minutes after her break, and requested to speak to the pharmacist, she finally came to the phone and then hung up on my PCP. Rudeness was
