I am very disappointed with the conditions at this nursing home. The administrator (Joseph Dawson) and DON (Evelyn Freeman) are unprofessional and unresponsive to concerns. The administrator is not personable and does not seem willing to help when concerns are raised. Communication is poor, and issues are not addressed in a timely or caring manner. Families expect leadership to be supportive and responsive—this is very disappointing.The staffing levels are very low all the time and residents frequently have to wait a long time for basic assistance, etc. This is concerning and not the level of care families expect for their loved ones. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! Put mom there for respite 5 (days) while husband had a heart procedure. Was gonna leave her for a couple weeks to give him some healing time. Went in April 24th 2025 and they called first Tuesday after that and said she fell, they took her to Duke hospital. Scrape (stitches) bruises and soreness. They told me they would probably put a sitter with her since she was a wanderer. Evidently that didnt happen and they found her on the floor. Well, broke her hip and it was inoperable. I asked on 8th to get her transportation and bring her home. Was not gonna leave her there another day. So basically within 17 days she was home and in bad shape. She lived until May 27th 2025. Couldnt get nurses station to answer phone when I called to check

I was really sick and didn’t seem to be getting better,, even though I was trying.Dr. Richards worked me in the day I finally called. Was grateful for that. Dr. Richard knows me and remembers my health details. He examined me and prescribed what I needed right away. Everyone is always friendly and efficient.

Do not let your loved ones end up here if you can help it. Upper Admin are near impossible to reach unless you threaten to get attorneys involved (yes, it’s that bad) and my family member who is there long term has been downright bullied by some of the nurses. He has been left in unsanitary conditions for over 24 hours and has had weeks go between wound care. He has missed SEVERAL CRITICAL doctors appointments and external medical practitioners have made complaints about the facilities incompetence via the hotline, which just goes back to upper admin. It’s really unfair for the handful of genuinely kind workers and nurses that I HAVE encountered there, but they don’t seem to receive any incentive to stay.

This website needs to be updated. I choose this place because of the therapy pool. The pool has not been working for awhile. The staff is lazy. The food is horrible. My mom would call me to send Door dash to her. They lie about the food tickets. They put one thing on the ticket and bring something else. My mom tickets said breakfast steaks and they was bringing her grits and eggs NO steaks. They said they didn't have any wet wipes for the patients. I asked could my mom get some tissue for her bathroom they had to go found some. Didn't get any paper towels till mid week. I would not recommend. Some of the staff are nice and I'm not putting everyone in a group. I appreciate the ones that do their job choice and try pick up someone else's slack. But overall the best thing about t
