ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital

Was along wait. But they took good care of my bf. I have had 2 surgerys that turned out good. How to put their good for certain things but not everything. They do try. I am glad for lots more staff.

Unless you’re willing to be ignored and disrespected I wouldn’t come to this ER. I had went in with my mom for a septic kidney infection and they were treating her like crap. The receptionist and the nurses were making comments on her and I felt like I couldn’t trust any of the staff to be alone with her or to do their job correctly and were not competent or compassionate about our situation at all. Even before they had got to her they were treating each patient like a burden. They also charged us for a IV that my mother never received; which we never even met the doctors to get close enough to get to that step to begin with. We left and went to an urgent care, and they did more for her than the so called emergency!

Went into the E.R. a week after having the flu with wheezing & difficulty breathing. I saw Dr. Brock (male doctor). I am 11 weeks pregnant with difficulty breathing and very heavy wheezing & cough attacks so bad I was getting headaches. This hospital is a joke! They never did an Xray to check for bronchitis which i often get when I am sick so I knew what I needed. They offered me a nebulizer treatment which didnt help at all and then wrote a prescription for an inhaler that I had to pick up the NEXT DAY! I went home struggling to breath worried about my babys oxygen only to be told they couldn't do anything bc I was pregnant. They never contacted an OB to ask for guidance. They made me sit in the E.R for 4 hours during a cough attack struggling to breath!! The lack of care is a complete jo

I recently had surgery at Hickman. I had a good experience, no complaints. My surgeon wa great and the nursing staff was pleasant and friendly. As for most people frequent checks at night were the most stressful part after surgery where sleep is limited. ,

It's a shame. Hospital for our loved ones , with customer service like some fast food drive through. Eye rolling, no smiles, no tonality, its honestly disgraceful. In particular womans health (emergency). Feels transactional. Which is sad because life is irreplaceable. People may not remember what you say, but they'll always remember how you made them feel.
