My insurance states I am allowed to have one routine eye exam per year in exchange for a $20 co-pay. I went to this place for my routine eye exam (99204) and the visit was upcoded to 99204 which is Office/Outpatient New Moderate Mdm 45 Minutes, not the routine eye exam code. "Elevated IOP, bilateral" was put in my diagnosis despite a completely normal exam with an IOP of 18 bilaterally and never having a previous diagnosis of IOP. This means insurance would not cover the visit, and I was charged $268.77. I called customer service almost immediately and was told my bill would be sent to their coding team for review and to not go to the clinic to dispute it. I called 2 weeks later after I had not received an update and was basically told there was no update. I then received a call from their
If you want to have your time wasted, you’ve found the right place. I’ve been here twice with my son but neither of us have been seen, not once. He was referred by his pediatrician and I was referred by my optometrist back in January. I was thrilled to have both of us seen at the same place by the same doctor. Sadly, they make it nearly impossible for parents and children to be seen one after the other, even WITH appointments. The failure to accommodate me and my son, not once but TWICE, coupled with the ridiculous wait times on the phone and in person make me ashamed to say I ever gave them a second chance. Avoid this place at all costs.
Dr Ling and her staff were so thorough and caring. My son was having issues and they got us in promptly. They did an excellent job diagnosing and getting testing done immediately. They got us a referral and appointment with a neuro opthamologist. It was one of best exams he has had. He has serious eye problems and was seen at Emory in Atlanta for years. They have called us promptly with results of tests . Very pleased with Dr Ling and staff.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I don't know if the front desk staff just don't like their jobs or just sitting there checking in patients bothers them, but I think they should consider a different career. I was told to come up there for an appt, I arrived, just for them to tell me I have to wait hours for said appt. When asking me questions, me trying to explain my situation from what I know, 1 kept cutting me off. It's like they were upset that I was there. Never got my appt. , have to come back nest year. So making me wait just to tell me to leave. Their look, their tones were disgusting and my primary care doctor is gonna have to recommend me somewhere else.
Unprofessional!! Don’t like the staff who answers the phone! I’ve been waiting for an appointment for my son that’s suddenly blind with 20/200 vision for over a month that is a STAT patient referred from the pediatrics. I’ve called twice. The first time I was told to let them call me in two weeks bc that’s how long they take to schedule appointments. The peds gave me the number to call and let them know he is a stat patient when I called again, a month later. It seems they want to be argumentative and rude. Then say they are a year behind with scheduling. How is that a change all of a sudden in a month?! How are they accepting new clients then?? At this point I’d prefer he goes somewhere else. Do not recommend.
