Prisma Health Family Medicine–Northeast

I went to speak with the front desk about an incorrect message that was sent to my MyChart. The young lady who took my information was argumentative about what I was explaining. The way she spoke made the environment unpleasant. She read my messages and came back to tell me that I had confused the doctor, saying the doctor thought I had an appointment today with my gastroenterologist. That wasn’t the case—it’s actually scheduled for a month later. Her demeanor was unpleasant, and she spoke to me in a demanding tone, which I found inappropriate when dealing with patients. After checking with the office personnel, she did not apologize or acknowledge the misunderstanding. Instead, she went straight to the doctor blaming the docter. At first, the information she gave me was completely wrong,

Went for my first appointment and the front desk lady was very nasty and rude. Overall Dr. Via , his nurse, the lab tech and the check out lady I had were all very nice and polite. My first time with Dr. Via and he was good to me. I have another appointment coming up and hopefully the front desk lady has her attitude in check. You never know what someone is going through and why they are being seen, customer service skills should be very important especially when you work in the front.

Been coming here/taking my family here gor 3 years. Staff has consistently been pretty short or rude, nobody ever picks up the phone I've had 2 physicians leave the practice in under a year of establishing my care making me start all over again. I'm honestly fed up with this office, but I've found this is consistent behavior among Prisma facilities.

The front office staff was always kind as I repeatedly called and eventually showed up because Dr. Harper's nurse wouldn't call me back, after my first message was left 26 hours earlier. So I had no problems with the staff but this is the last time I will be using Dr. Harper. She's moving out of state anyway, so even though I'm leaving this review, I can't say anything bad about the other doctors. They might be great! Also, this isn't my first time having trouble getting through to Dr. Harper or getting information from her (like when she moved offices or even a letter saying she was moving...I learned that from the front office people).

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The NP, Bethany Simpson, was very patient with my elderly and disabled mother. She listened and immediately got to work with the ordering of labs and ultrasound so we can proceed with getting my mother on a personalized health plan. I am so happy to have found such a great provider
