Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital

Truly disappointed with this place!! Tried to call nurses station on the floor where my mom is and was transferred to a number no longer in service twice by the virtual assistant. Therefore I waited on hold five minutes to get a human being to be told the same thing is happening to them. Administrator was supposedly contacted and was going up to the floor where my mom is to get to the bottom of it and would call me back. Here I am over N.A. hour later still waiting for this call back from administrator. No thank you Prisma!! Do better!!!!

Didn't read reviews before coming. DON'T COME HERE!! I've been here since 4:00 p.m. with chest pains. Have not seen a doctor yet. They say there are no more rooms. Do I take that as I'm not having a heart attack? Ridiculous. I will update if I ever get back there

I had my 4th baby here and the best birthing experience by far!! We arrived with labor advancing quickly and they got us in a room with a tub very quickly. Every nurse, doctor and every staff member was extremely kind and professional. The birth involved some complications and everyone was helpful and didn’t push their preferences but let us be a part of the decision making. Highly, highly recommend.

This hospital really messed me up mentally. I was visiting family from another state. I came to the ER with extreme pain. Crying, shaking ,etc. The nurse was very sweet and he tried to calm me down. The doctor on the other hand, didn’t do anything. As a matter of fact, he diagnosed me with something life changing. Something I NEVER saw coming. He came to this conclusion via an x ray and a 5 minute ultrasound, and blood draw. No CT, no MRI, etc. I was CRUSHED leaving there. For months I had to battle through depression and anxiety surrounding how I was going to tell my loved ones. I felt so alone. Fast forward 5 months later, and multiple professional opinions later, I find out that I was extremely misdiagnosed. And there is absolutely no sign of what the doctor initially said I had. Eve

Took my daughter here since her Dr referred her on the day of her appointment. She was having trouble breathing with a serious headache. Was surprised at the small amount of 20 or so parking spaces for ER patients. After being there for over 8 hours we both were agitated, hungry, tired and ready to leave without any results or answers. They were having trouble inserting IVs into my daughter's arms (4 tries) and having difficulty with her veins blowing. This was necessary for the contrast, but we were tired. Jenifer M (sp?) convinced us to stay and for my daughter to let them try one more time. We stayed. I am so glad that she was convincing.
