Prescription Center Pharmacy

I had a prescription that they didn't have in stock told me to come back in a few days to a week, and that it was covered by insurance and I could pick up one box now the other later, then I came back later to pick up the two boxes and then they claimed it wasn't covered by insurance, needed a prior authorization and then claimed they wouldn't automatically fill the prescription once the prior authorization comes in, I had to contact my insurance company and doctor and figure out myself then call the pharmacy and tell them it was approved and wanted fill. I can't believe that! No other pharmacy has ever told me to have to be the middle man in a prior authorization. I usually enjoy going to this pharmacy, but unfortunately had an uncomfortable experience this week that I feel is important to share. When I came to refill a prescription, I was told it had been too long since my last fill that I would need to be re-consulted by the pharmacist. While I was trying to explain why I hadn't refilled sooner (experiencing serious sensitivity to the drug), I was constantly interrupted and the tech and pharmacist made very accusatory statements. The pharmacist and tech were continually dismissive and argumentative. Instead of letting me talk, or even ask for clarification of their statements - the tech handed me my medication and the pharmacist walked away, clearly annoyed with me, and she never consulted me on the drug that was given. Unreliable. They charge more than most pharmacies but I have picked them previously because don’t have to deal with standing in lines here in the past. However I just needed a 3 month travel prescription filled today asap since I work on the road. I’m in a rush to get out of town for work so I had my Dr office send it here this morning. Upon arrival at the pharmacy, I overheard the manager say they had the rx quantity available for my prescription but she didn’t want to fill it since it leaves less total available for other random customers. They told me they could fill 1 month instead but I would forfeit the other 2 months of my prescription…. I’ll let you decide how to feel about that info. They have permanently lost our business. It is SO FRUSTRATING dealing with this pharmacy if you need to talk to someone on the phone. I understand they are super busy and may not be able to have someone answering calls as they come in...BUT if you have the option to leave a message PLEASE have the courtesy to return the call to discuss the issue! SO IRRITATING and because I have a compounded medication I have no other options at this point. Very sad...
