Presbyterian Urgent Care in Rio Rancho on High Resort

I went to Presbyterian Urgent Care on October 28 2025 with severe arthritis pain in my hip, knee, and lower leg. I was given the best treatment I've received at PMS. The doctor, whose name I can't remember, explained a medication regimen thoroughly and referred me to the orthopedic department. He was personable and friendly. A second physician, a young lady, gave me a shot in the hip that reduced the pain within a couple of hours. She was also very attentive and friendly. I left the facility feeling happy, grateful, and full of praise for the doctors and nurses at Presbyterian Urgent Care.

I spoke on the phone with customer service mind you I was on hold for a short while first time a woman answered she was nice then afterwards I got sent to the location I had requested . So I thought!? But no I was sent right back to the beginning to start all over with the prompts. When I finished repeating the process Mathew answered and was not very helpful . I was not sure the office I was asking for Mathew begs is to ague with me about the building. At this point I’m heated and I try to ask his name and responds with I already told you . Without getting more frustrated with him I ask to repeat his name he then fallow up with sounds like your having problems. Him knowing his poor and unhelpful attitude and behavior was part of the issue. Very facetious response. This shouldn’t be the

NOT A WALK in CLINIC! i had knee surgery 3 days before i came in with my 2 year old son having breathing issues. I cannot even walk. The lady at the front turned us away saying they don’t take walk ins. They need to make this more readily known online. I wouldn’t have wasted my time bringing him here.

Made an appointment for 9:40, and front desk said they were a little behind…100% understand that. It’s been 1.5 hours and still haven’t been seen. What’s the point of making an appointment?

So Im sitting here in the lobby with my 83 year old MIL. She thought her appointment was today, unfortunately it was yesterday. She needs to get 2 Staples removed from her scalp. We arrived on time for what we thought was her appointment. We had to reschedule for the next available since we are already here. So that's in 2 hours. I asked if she could be moved up if someone is a no show. They told me that is not possible because then they would have to mark that person as not showing up and they don't do that. So we are just sitting here until we can go back up and check in. Seems incredibly inefficient and not a policy that puts the patient first. American Healthcare at its finest.
