Presbyterian Family Medicine in Los Lunas on Emilio Lopez Rd

I have been going to this urgent care for sometime when in need...this last visit will be the last!!! The NP was incompetent and no help at all! I had been suffering severe and near debilitating allergies for a month. Had tried everything over the counter and prescribed inhalers and prescribed oral route medication.NO luck! I explained to her I was new to the area and had my first in depth testing for allergies and the Medical Doctor said I had severe allergies and was a candidate for shots. Thankfully he gave me a Kennalog and my life was changed in regards to allergies!!!!! Common sense I had relocated here with only to be surprised there was a 6 month wait to see any Doctor let alone an allergy specialist. I was calling about seeing a provider today, and was told that presbyterian no longer accepts Unitedhealthcare medicare adv. I don't believe the young woman knew what she was talking about. I called UHC and they said that all Presbyterian facilities take UHC. You need to get workers who know what insurances you accept.

The Doctor I seen was very kind knowledgeable and professional but what I don’t get is why when I told the Doctor I delayed my care because I ended up paying for all those labs myself the Doctor wrote me a prescription for a med that cost $125 when I went to the pharmacy and bought one that worked fine for $10. Doctors should consider that with the economy we have, the fact that insurance covers less, it doesn’t help a patient if they put them in a great deal of debt.

I don't care for this facility Presbyterian .They don't care about there patients.I had a great Doc he left back t his State .Don't care for this place at all.????

The doctor’s seem unqualified. The front office staff seem very inconsiderate. They close at 5pm, I got off work at 4:30 in Albuquerque and I needed to pick up a letter. I was only 10 minutes away and I tried calling them so many times to make sure they didn’t lock up right at 5 because I was barely going to make it. I began calling at 4:45 and they never once picked up. Do better! I don’t care if it was closing time on a Friday, you were still in business.
