Premier Pediatrics: Manhattan

We’ve had a wonderful experience at Premier Pediatrics and can’t recommend Dr. Elena Andreou enough. We began seeing her right after our daughter was born, and she has been nothing short of fantastic. She is kind, patient, and truly listens to our concerns. As first-time parents, we came in with a lot of questions at every visit. Even though I’m sure she hears many of the same questions repeatedly, she always made us feel seen, heard, and never rushed. She also helped us address a skin issue our daughter was having. Her diagnosis and treatment cleared up her eczema within a day. I also wanted to address the annual $250 fee mentioned in many of the reviews. While it can feel annoying upfront, it breaks down to about $20 per month, which we feel is very reasonable. We have been clients of Premier Pediatrics and have enjoyed great service from this practice since 2012. We recently received a bill for a $250 annual administration fee. Seriously, do pediatric centers not make enough money that they need to charge a mandatory administrative fee for zero extra services rendered?! Unfortunately we had to leave this practice which seems to be going downhill since one of their key owners retired.

One of the Medical Assistants is consistently very rude. We were horrified by the harsh way she handled our crying infant. You’d think people who work in a pediatrics office would be kind to children. Though we like our pediatrician, we are considering changing doctors offices due to the way the MA treats us and especially our baby.

Care we have received has been good overall, however, we have had issues with reaching doctors over the weekend, calling the service and not hearing back. Making well visits appointments for both kids at once has also gotten harder over the years as appointments are limited. There is also no way to get your records online, so every time we've needed them, we've needed to request, wait (I believe it was up to a week) and pay (you have to pay to get a copy of your records). I'm now trying to make well visit appointments and told I cannot because I have a balance of $25... I use the Klara ap to communicate with the practice, as they ask, and have never received any communication about a balance. When I tried to pay, I was told I have to pay the collection agency... My children received fantastic service from the physicians, Definitely love them. But about two weeks ago their management team came up with a brilliant idea that they need to charge patient with a 250 dollar admin fee to receive VIP service. It is a mandatary fee, and it won't be covered by insurance. It is like a membership fee. Come on, don't run your practice like a club.
