Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center - Emergency Room

Over crowded and hippa was violated, health care workers didnt wash there hands between patients and i was in the hall on a bed with no privacy long wait and didnt get test done that I needed. Extremely long wait. Very unprofessional. Drew blood but unfortunately the nurse didnt listen when I said my veins were small busted my veins in two spots. I will not go back unless I have to.

I went in and asked the lady what I had the nurse or doctor popped off to me with a attitude and said she's about ready to tell me in a minute. I was like what the heck . Then the man doing paperwork popped off to me . Honest review these ppl were rude and had attitude very unprofessional for a hospital.

Going to this hospital is a joke, I got treated with so much disrespect it was insane. I was supposed to get a call from the head supervisor over the nurses in the emergency room, well like Moses over here im still waiting for that call. I guess maybe I should call a lawyer, because they are a long way away from a top rating hospital. Won't go back unless I'm dying and then I might not even go there then. I was told by an Orthopedic doctor there and by the rn or lpn that was supposed to be helping me that im to FAT to have surgery mind you I weigh 277 ya that heavy but not heavy enough to be called FAT by two professional people. Enter there at your own risk.

It was a long,long,long wait! Ridiculous really. Everyone was super nice and the doctor was very courteous and did a good job but there definitely needs to be something done to speed up the process. So many sick and hurting people just setting any and everywhere. My mom set on ambulance gurney for almost 2 hrs before she was put in a room and at 85 yrs old and had fallen. She was in pain. I could of drove her to Cape Girardeau and got her seen to faster. We was there from 10:30pm till 4:00 am.

I had a great experience with Poplar Bluff Regional ER. I was there 3.5 hours from check in to check out, which I felt like was very reasonable in my situation. I seen Melissa Christian and she was wonderful and all of the nurses were wonderful.
