Plaza 21 Dermatology and Mohs

I have tried to book an appointment for the past two weeks with this group. I was told I needed a referral to be seen. My PCP faxed a referral. I waited a few days and called again. Of course they stated they never received it so I verified their fax number and called my PCP to refax the referral. I called back to left a message that it was relaxed as I was instructed to do so it could be pulled and my appointment could be made. I again waited two more days for an acknowledgement of receipt till I left another message asking if they received it. After no response from them I looked up a dermatologist with UPMC. I was able to get an appointment with UPMC the first contact made. The lesson I have learned is if it's this frustrating to simply get scheduled with Penn State, it's best to go el

It takes a while to get on the calendar, but the atmosphere here is wonderful. They make you feel comfortable rather than judged—highly recommend Dr. Maddox for anyone who gets a bit anxious at appointments.

Could not have been a better experience! The check in staff was smiling and friendly. The nurse staff was excellent. The Dr great. Just overall wonderful experience if you have to go here. My husband care was superb.

Dr. Anderson was very nice. However, the ability to call and talk to a person is AWFUL!!!! I left 4 messages in a month to schedule an appointment. I gave 2 specific dates that I would not be available to answer my phone when they called back. What days did they call???? Those 2 dates! When, after a month, I talked to a live person, and explained what happened, she abruptly said, 'We don't have time to listen to messages! How many calls do you think we get a day?' I was shocked. I asked her what was the point of leaving a message? She said, 'we don't have time to listen to 5 minute messages!'. Needless to say, we left that practice. Extremely unprofessional, and, I would not recommend going there due to the office staff. I wonder if the doctors know about how they treat patients.

Once again, another dermatologist office who is all about profit & not about patient care. Won’t even schedule without a referral even though my insurance does NOT require one! Forget the fact I’m concerned for skin cancer. DO BETTER.
