Plantation Pediatrics

My son has been under the care of Dr. Fang Patrick for over 12 years now. Ever since they were acquired, I have completely lost trust in Plantation Pediatrics. Today I made an appointment for my son to receive the HPV vaccine. After he was given his shot, I asked to schedule his follow-up for the second dose. The nurse looked at me like I was crazy and then informed me that what my son actually received was a flu shot—not HPV. This is not the first time this has happened. Back in February, my son’s father brought him in for the HPV vaccine, and instead he was given a DTaP shot. We only found this out months later when we tried to schedule the follow-up HPV dose and were told there was no record of the first one ever being given. Dr. Fan Patrick really screwed her patients by selling her practice to plantation pediatrics(Dr. Sanchez). I tried to give them multiple chance because Dr F and Dr Oher are still seeing patients. Here are few reason why this office is terrible: ● no follow ups from anyone ● they charge a ridiculous amount for school paper work ● majority of the staff doesn't speak english ● they overbooked appointment slots so you do not get the proper attention ● cannot seem to process a referral correctly or accurately ●wait times are extremely long ●office manager escalation does nothing ●speaking to Dr. Sanchez does nothing So disappointed that I had to change doctors. I truly tried to make it work there as we were at kddyatrics for over 17 years. Its not the dame level of work. Save t

I was adamantly clear about our vaccine schedule, they repeatedly lied about which vaccines were going to be given. They were dishonest when asked about combo vaccines (multiple vaccines in one syringe) they insisted on administering combo vaccines by desguising it as a "single shot" against our wishes despite me explaining previous life endangering allergic reactions in the family history. When my oldest child needed a specific vaccine they refused to order it and referred us to the health dept which has never happened with any other pediatrician in my 15 years of being a mom. Getting prescriptions refilled was impossible, taking more than 4 trips to their office and to different pharmacies and getting a different excuse everytime. Linda Oher is absolutely AMAZING! I would follow her anywhere if she ever moved offices. We’ve been coming here for years, and while the care from Linda has always been exceptional, the transition from Kiddyatrics to Plantation Pediatrics has been really disappointing. The customer service is practically nonexistent now. No one answers the phones no matter what time of day you call, you get the after-hours recording. The mailbox is always full, so you can’t even leave a message to request a callback. I’ve even sat in the waiting room and called the office myself just to see what would happen, and they just let it ring while sitting right there. It’s unbelievable. It’s a shame because providers like Linda deserve an office that matches the level of care they give their patients.

I can’t explain how happy we are with Nurse Practitioner Meghan. She has been so supportive and helpful with my son. She takes time to explain things to us and we never even have to see the Dr anymore we are so happy with her! They could use a little help on the phones as I know they are busy, so booking appointments can require a bit of patience but I see they have been hiring extra help so I am sure that will be solved soon as well. Only advise is allow booking of appointments on line and that would make it easier for parents and likely staff too! Bring your kids to NP Meghan and you won’t be disappointed!
