This was my first experience with telehealth. My 5 year old had been having some issues with her throat, and had been to her pediatrician twice already. We live in the country, and it’s a 30 minutes drive to see her doctor. Where has telehealth been all these years? Oh my gosh! A fifteen to twenty minute phone call instead of a 90 minute trip, out after dark and raining! The nurse practitioner asked a series of questions, talked to my daughter and me about her issues. It was very impressive to me for him to ask questions on her level, and to actually hear her respond to his questions, as she is normally very shy. He sent a prescription to our pharmacy and also provided us with two all natural remedies I had never heard of, which helped her comfort level almost immediately! Nobody
