Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

I have had a memorable and exciting experience here at piney Grove nursing rehab center while taking therapy. It has really has encourage to to do better and I have gotten stronger . I love the occupational therapist , he has help me a lot and always brings a smile to my face .

My MIL was there for less than two weeks. Literally less than 14 days. In that time she said the food was good and OT was great, but let me speak the reality. She had perfect skin when she arrived. I'm a registered nurse, I've checked her skin and her skin looked great. In less than two weeks time she now has breakdown on her bottom and the backs and side of her legs. They informed us that they do not have a hoyer lift appropriate for lifting her yet they allowed her to come knowing her condition. She does NOT exceed the weight limit on their hoyer they simply refused to get her up. I can only imagine if she had stayed any longer what may have happened. This facility is a death trap. It's great that the food is good, but the nursing care should be even better.

I give them one star because it wouldnt let me do a minus 5. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER THAT IS IN NEED. DON'T DO IT.

My mother was sent there for rehab and was the same physically if not worse when I picked her up. None of the prescriptions could be filled because they lacked the DEA signature. We also received another patients paperwork in our discharge folder. Facility is lacking but staff was very caring and nice.

My father in law and a family friend have stayed there. They enjoyed it and became close to the staff.Nothing is perfect, but they were happy which is what counts. It was better the second time, so I could see they are changing things.The other residents seemed happy too
