Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center

Zero stars should be an option for Piedmont Emergency Room in Cartersville. I recently moved to GA 15 months ago and have been to this location several times (asthma attacks & chronic back pain). My first visit in November 2024 was smooth and I appreciated the way the hospital functioned to provide proper service. I’ve had several subpar encounters since then, but my visit yesterday, 2/25/26 is the official reason I will never return to Piedmont ER Cartersville. For some background: Monday, 2/16/26 I was there for severe chronic back pain and was fast tracked into the Treatment Room within minutes of my arrival. Once treated, I was told to return to the ER asap if specific conditions started. I began to have urinary incontinence due to my back pain. When I informed the sign in nurse & tria

1/6/26 update to my review. Upon returning to Alabama after my visit to your ER. I followed up with our Express Care on 1/3/26 who is affiliated with my PCP. It was confirmed that I have bronchitis as a part of having Flu A which I firmly believe was already part of my complications. I received another decadron shot along with an antibiotic and more oral steroids. 12/31/25 visit to this facility....I was in town visiting my daughter and her family. When the time arose for me to visit an urgent in Acworth. I was diagnosed with flu A. I am considered high risk since I have Chronic bronchial asthma and COPD. My temp was 102, my heart rate 133, and bp 147/93. It was recommended that I be admitted to the hospital it as recommended by the facility that I go to Piedmont Cartersville hospital ER t

Mother in law had a procedure today that went very well. Not overly crowded, very nice personnel and a safe and smooth outcome. We live in Canton and frequently visit Northside Cherokee. A beautiful hospital but very difficult to find parking. Not here. Again, all around good experience.

I have come in multiple times now over having a combination of upper respiratory infection and strep throat, the last 3 times I have been over the past month the staff have been EXTREMELY dismissive, my symptoms continue to worsen. Last night I came in with swelling lips, a fever of 104-103, at the height of my fever I even hit 105.3 I was dizzy and almost fell down a flight of steps I was clearly confused, my lungs were burning, the staff told me and I quote without running any test or literally doing anything “your fine just take the antibiotics” each time I expressed a concern “your fine” I asked for a female doctors they sent in a rude RN. I HEARD THEM IN THE HALLWAY LAUGHING “just Swab em, clear em, just get them out” never in my life have I experienced such a lack of care from medica

This was the worst experience! We went to the ER because my husband had kidney stones. It was an hour, and my calling and going to the nurses desk multiple times. before they gave him anything for pain. And that story repeared over and over. We would call and call and go to the desk several times. And an hour and a half would go by and nothing. They didn't seems busy. Nurses were in the hall talking and texting at their desk. They just didn't seem to care. I'll drive to Calhoun or Kennesaw next time and he'll probably still get taken care of faster!
