Dr. Shadduck is amazing! I met with him with complications from gallstones. He told me my options, recommended a cholecystectomy, and explained what it was and what would happen during the procedure. Multiple times gave me room to ask questions. He was very friendly and listened to my concerns. I had the surgery about two weeks later, my first major surgery and it went perfectly. I knew what to expect afterward in terms of diet change and body pain. I didn't even need the opioids I was prescribed. I'm also happy with how small my incision scars are! I just had my post-op appointment and everything is excellent. I highly recommend him!!

Dr. Shadduck performed and inguinal hernia repair for me. Dr. Shadduck is a kind, compassionate surgeon. Definitely not the "cut first, last, and, always" type of surgeon. He monitored my condition for over a year before we both agreed it was time for the repair. The whole procedure went very smoothly. All the staff was great, I was always able to ask all my questions and get comprehensible answers and was never left sitting in a waiting room for an unreasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend him.

As always, the staff and Dr. Phillip Shadduck provided excellent healthcare. The wait time was at a minimum just as previous appointments. The exam and following discussion were extremely professional and helpful. Dr. Shadduck has to be one of the best in his field. His diagnosis of a rare form of cancer during a routine hernia surgery followed by a referral to an oncology surgeon at Duke was crucial in saving my life!

Dr. Shadduck has lots of good reviews for a reason--he is awesome! From a surgery done by another surgeon I ended up with a hernia and lots of scar tissue. He is perfectionist having performed thousands of these types of surgeries. Not only is my hernia repaired, but the recovery was much easier than I thought it would be. If you are looking for a surgeon who is a good listener and an expert at general surgery, look no further.

Dr Shadduck was absolutely wonderful. Great bedside manner, explained everything and was open for questions and concerns. Was very refreshing to have a doctor that showed concern and compassion. Thank you for getting me in so fast and taking care of my health issues.
