As someone who was struggling with my sobriety, Daffney made a meaningful difference in my care during my time on 2 South. From the very beginning, she treated me with kindness, patience, and respect, which helped me feel safe and supported during a very vulnerable period. Unlike some of the other nurses, who at times came across as rude or dismissive, Daffney was consistently compassionate and approachable. She became my go to person because I knew she would listen without judgment, explain things clearly, and genuinely care about how I was feeling. I also want to say that I forgot to tell her thank you for everything she did for me, and I am truly hoping that someone tells her this for me . She really is an angel, and her compassion and professionalism had a lasting impact on my recovery

About two months ago, I had a minor procedure with Dr. Bergstein at Phelps Hospital. The procedure went very smoothly, and Dr. Bergstein was great throughout the entire process. Although there was a little issue with the correct paperwork for my procedure, I was informed by the nurses and doctors that this was because of their transition to a new computer system that cared for their records. The confusion was resolved easily. The anesthesia team was great. The anesthesia nurse in training was very sweet as were all the health care staff. I normally get very sick from anesthesia, but the anesthesia team was able to mitigate that and I did not feel sick afterwards. I have has surgery at another hospital before and while it went smoothly, it wasn’t nearly as positive of an experience as what

I just want to start off this review by saying the doctor and nurses at Phelps Hospital are amazing. All very professional and extremely caring for their patients. Do Not Come In an Emergency! The biggest issue I have with Phelps for years is that you will be waiting a very long time. I’m not sure if they are understaffed but I arrived at 12:00 and was checked in about 20 minutes later. I then waited in a room for almost 2 hours for a nurse or doctor in a lot of pain. I believe in an emergency room the process should go much faster. Overall the doctors and nurses are wonderful. The check in check out time was horrible and would never go here in an extreme emergency. Drive the extra 20 minutes to a different hospital it will save you the 2 hour wait.

My wife had a minor surgery done here. Relatively clean and tidy facility. Also a decent level of privacy compared to other hospitals we’ve had procedures done. Staff were kind, patient, and thorough. They mostly seem pretty happy, which engenders a lot of confidence in their system. Yes, there was a lot of waiting, but that’s every hospital. Surgery scheduled for 1:00, started at 2:00.

Thank you, Phelps Hospital, for providing such an outstanding experience during my surgery on October 3rd. Every member of your team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. Not only did everyone perform their roles with excellence, but they also made us feel like we were their top priority. The level of care and compassion we received was truly exceptional. I only wish we lived closer—Phelps Hospital is truly top-notch in my book! I’ll be recommending your facility to all my Central NY friends who are looking for a hospital they can trust.
