Go to ONS instead! I wasted two months of my life because Akerman claimed the x-rays and MRI "showed nothing". I was given 6 weeks of PT to "strengthen my hip flexors", meanwhile I'm a crossfit and kickboxing athlete so I'm not weak by any means. After PT made it WORSE I was being shoved off to a spine specialist so I decided to get a second opinion and ended up at ONS. Dr. Greene immediately saw my MRI (that I had done for Akerman, not even a new one) and told me I had a tear right in my first appointment! We did aditional x-rays which showed my ball joint was misshapen from birth and was the probable cause over time from being so active.
