Crazy how I showed up 5am for a head trauma with c isible swelling and fluid on my temple,explained symptoms and was getting dizzier and more nauseated as the time went by. When I went to alert the staff at the front desk that I felt like I was going to have a seizure she wouldnt even acknowledge I was standing there, instead shoved her bojangles in her mouth eating like she ain't ate in days. I ended up going to my vehicle having a seizure there and just went home. As someone who is in Healthcare i cannot express how disappointing this visit was.thankfully I woke up after falling asleep as im pretty sure I was concussed. Bojangles must be extremely good to sit there and shove it in your face while ignoring patient needs.

A family member had severe abdominal pain and was found to have an infection and appendix infection and she received immediate care and emergency surgery. The surgeon is highly rated and will agree. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and gave speedy care. From getting to the ER at 730am to having emergency surgery at noon and heading home by 3pm, who could ask for better treatment? The recovery at home went extremely well and the follow up visit was excellent. Normally I am skeptical about small hospitals having sub par care but this was not the case. Thank God for everyone there!

Entered ER 1/9/2026 @ approximately 7:50 pm with what EMS staff said was dehydration. I also had stomach pains. Blood was drawn about 2 hours later. Tests were ordered, but never carried out. Phebotomists that were responsible for inserting needle for fluid and contrast for test that were ordered denied ability to properly make the insertion. With a breakdown in communication, I was taken down for the test that required the contrast, to discover by the X-ray tech that no provision had been made for the entry for fluid. Still not med for pain. At some point after 10pm I was given an IM dose of morphine. Still no fluid by any means. Set in emergency room for 12 hours waiting on Dr to make decision on what’s wrong with me. I’d just gotten out of Duke hospital 36 hours prior for other issues. Come to find out me falling is related to my prior issues for being at Duke. I couldn’t walk due to dizziness and also had a UTI. They wanted to send me home a that was to be it with my issues. I told them NO. You need to transfer me back to Duke where I can get proper care. They finally decided to transfer me to Duke. While at Person County Hospital they made me lay in urine for about 4 hour. I called numerous times to get me cleaned up but was ignored. I still couldn’t walk due, if I could’ve I’d went to restroom on my own. They seem to be more concerned about another patient that was cussing all hospital staff and was crawling

Had my 98 year old mom transported to person hospital today and was amazed at the fast service including all tests and lab work. People were super friendly and the doctor was outstanding as he told my brother and I exactly what was going on and treatment. I would recommend it highly for non threatening life emergency. I would say if it had been to serious for them I would have been told. Thanks to them
