Perlmutter Cancer Center—38th Street

Waiting rooms have the most uncomfortable seating. Worse than church. Memorial Sloan Kettering's offices are waaaay nicer. NYU feels like a factory. Might have great doctors but the patient experience is terrible.

The staff were polite, friendly, and affirming; the doctor I met with was knowledgeable and understanding. My visit here was a rare bright spot in the dismal wasteland that is American healthcare.

Great doctors and staff always very crowded parking is a nitemere but it's Manhatten.

I arrived 15 minutes early to my 8 am appt with hematology and was greeted warmly. That was the only positive part of this experience. My doctor had no idea why I was there, did not have my records on hand from my other doctor (all within NYU). ( I did ) When I explained the reason for my visit (regarding pregnancy) his next logical question was if I had leg swelling - lymphedema. I’m 100 lb woman in perfect health with a very clear reason for my visit. All of my visits are documented in the NYU my chart portal. I have seen my PCP, OBGYN, fertility specialist just to name a few all in the last 4 months. I’m unsure how leg swelling was a logical question. After this awkward interaction another Dr opened the door during my exam which I had already waited 20 min past my appt time for to make

Excellent professionals throughout the facility. The staff is very friendly and competent. I felt as if they cared about my well-being and were there to help me.
