Hygienist (Olivia) used a defective tool that sprayed so much water on my face it was running down my neck. Finally stopped her so I could dry off and she said the tool she was using was too expensive to replace. Dentist (Dr. Park) told me to wear a night-guard; said he knows I grind my teeth because of the wear on my fillings. I told him most of my fillings are 40-50 years old. That’s got to contribute to wear. He spent less than a minute looking at my teeth and made a diagnosis without even asking my history or modifying his “professional advice” when I gave him more information. The hygienist wanted me to come three times a year- said she won’t have to use broken tool if I come for an additional uncovered cleaning; she will clean by hand. What the —?!?! What happened to Dr. Minti

Called Penn Valley to set up a new patient appointment for my partner who had a tooth ache. He went to his appointment where they made an assessment that cost over $250 and sent him to a specialist in Elmira for a root canal which the specialist said he didn’t need. That cost $280. Then back to Penn Valley to tell them that he didn’t need a root canal just a good cleaning. He went to the appointment that was supposed to be a cleaning and all that was done was another X-ray and a consult costing over $300. In summary, all this nonsense coat close to $900 and nothing accomplished. Called a local dentist that got him in and did the cleaning and he’s good as new. My advice is don’t go here! RUN!!

The office is clean, comfortable, and well-organized, making each visit smooth and stress-free. As I have read many other reviews I have had a similar experience. I urgently went to Dr. Minti for an evaluation for an abrupt horrid taste in my mouth. So bad I would have done anything to relieve it. When she saw me she told me there was absolutely nothing she could do until I was able to come in for a root and scale cleaning. The cost of upwards $1,000 for this procedure. At the time I had no insurance but was in such dire need I paid it out of pocket. The appointment was rushed and I agree with others that she does multiple patients at once so you do not have her undivided attention. The procedure was quick and a lot of blood. Dr. Minti did fillings on my fiancé and she did an amazing job. Nothing but good things to say about this office, coming from someone who is scared of the drill. It is a very comforting environment and they take the time to answer all of your questions. Extremely thorough and painless procedures. Covid precautions taken to keep everyone safe. Offers many services with friendly staff. Highly recommend for any dental needs!
