Just trying to get back the $800 this company owes me because insurance sent Pediatrix an adjusted EOB after I paid in full. Every time I call I’m on hold for an extended period of time. I was told they mailed the check over a month ago (November 17th), but it never came. On December 16th I was told I would get a call back about it, but no one has called a week later. I called back and was transferred around until I didn’t have any more time to sit on the phone. I would recommend waiting to call until you have at least 30 minutes available to sit on the phone. This whole thing started on September 12th.

These are hospitalist pediatricians that visited my newborn after delivery at St Francis. They visited her twice. She had absolutely no medical conditions, born via scheduled, non-emergent c-section at term, and had no un-anticipated needs. The doctors were both extremely young and seemed ill-equipped to answer my routine questions. One of them told me my daughter had an umbilical hernia. When I anxiously reported that to our regular, seasoned pediatrician at their practice a couple days later - he actually laughed. She definitely has no hernia. They billed my insurance $990 for 2 visits of maybe 10 minutes at the most. Absolutely wild.

I was trying to set up a payment plan on 11/12/21 but my card was charged for the full balance & the half payment of the plan. I called the same day and explained what happened, I requested a refund of the half payment since I’ve already paid in full. I was told that it was going to be refunded back to my card within 5-7 business days, and to call back within 2 weeks if I don’t see it in my bank account. I called again 2 weeks later requesting a status and I was then told it was “under a review”. December 12 my card was charged AGAIN for the remaining half balance which it shouldn’t have been charged because there was no balance due since there was a credit pending, long story short I HAVE BEEN WAITING 3 MONTHS TO RECEIVE MY REFUND!!!!!!
