Pediatrics – Martinsburg

Let me first start off by saying, if there was a way to give this business any more of a negative rating I would. I work full time and am a college student, my life is overwhelmingly busy. I have an 8-year-old child that has a seizure disorder, as well as Cerebral Palsy. We have recently relocated to this area for work. I have waited four months to get into see a doctor appointment for my child at this facility. The patient tech or receptionist lady called last week and said that the Doctor was gone, thus we rescheduled. That was one day that I missed out on a 12-hour shift. Not only will my kid not be seen today, 12 hours shift number 2 that I am missing out on trying to get my child health care. But he will never be seen at the facility anymore. 52.88$ / hr x 24 is more than I am willin

My daughter is 9yrs old and has been going to this office since 2015. Post-Covid their policy’s have understandably changed. That being said it is absolutely absurd that every time I call the office there are no appointments. They rush you off the phone to urgent care. When you ask for appointments in advance they say they cannot schedule out in advance, but you call the next morning AT OPEN and they’re booked for the day. No worries though!!! There are several pediatricians on site BUT there is only ever one actually there! The secretary’s bc they aren’t nurses are rude and condescending in manner and tone! They have the audacity to tell a parent with a sick child to calm down when not being able to get them seen. If you never need pediatric medial attention for you child I highly rec

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I have had a wonderful experience with University Pediatrics! The doctors are all amazing with my 2 children and they really take the time to listen and answer questions. The practice is associated with the hospital, which has it's pros and cons but I think more pros. The doctors spend time at the hospital, learning and experiencing more and more. This does occasionally mean you have to schedule with a different doc or a different week, but since they are all wonderful it doesn't really matter. Personally, we see Dr. Chaiban most often and my kids adore her. I also really appreciate that the scheduling staff are always flexible and patient and we get a reminder phone call before each appointment so I don't forget.

We’ve been going here since my son was born and had a great experience. Always. Until recently. I’ve been trying to have my son seen for over two months and I’m either told they don’t have any sick child visits OR they have no providers available because they’re “out of the country”… so… guess it’s time to find a more reliable doctor. Especially when I’m being told just to go to urgent care since they didn’t plan adequate coverage for unavailable providers. Not acceptable AT ALL.

Yes they are busy and sometimes you may have to go to urgent care but let's be honest, If your child is dangerously sick maybe urgent care or the hospital is for the best. (Maybe lol) Overall Dr. Sunkavalli and the staff at University Pediatrics have been amazing. My children have been going here for 6 years and it has been the best experience after leaving Shenandoah. Dr. Sunkavalli takes your concerns seriously and he listens to respond appropriately. Every thing that has been misdiagnosed by the hospital or prior pediatricians, he's properly diagnosed and provided the proper referrals to get the issues rectified. Ex. My daughter had some swelling the day after her shots. I took her to the ER and they stated that she had an abscessed tooth (she didn't have any teeth yet). They prescrib
