Pediatrics in the Pines Occupational Therapy

I have thoroughly enjoyed having my kiddo enrolled at Pediatrics in the Pines. The staff are great, they are attentive to each child's needs and are so communicative with the parents. They listen to concerns you may have and work with you on managing school requirements. There is a weekly treatment plan that reviews what the kids are working on. This helps us reinforce things throughout the week. I'm thankful that my child gets services here, he has made a lot of progress, he's willing to do the work and looks forward to coming every week.

Pediatrics in the Pines is just so excellent. It's clean, organized, decorated, perfect for the kids, and always sharing new information to the parents. Ms. Sherrie is our OT and she is just the BEST, but the other OTs there are also fabulous! I have learned so much through our visits and am a better parent for it. My daughter is making so many improvements and is a happier kiddo because of this little place.

Drive as far as you need to, to bring your kids to Pediatrics in the Pines! I’ve signed up all my 4 neurodivergent children because of the experience we had with my 10 year old. He had begun “upper elementary school” for 5th grade, and because of some family trauma, he was not functioning. He was shutting down every day at school, if something triggered him he would stop talking and become like a statue. He wouldn’t leave the classroom to go to recess once or twice. Even the counselor at school couldn’t get him to talk when he shut down. We worked with the pediatrician and the school to get him help. Sherrie was his occupational therapist. He shut down during his first two visits. The things she did were simple, but based in science. Apparently some of us hold onto our baby reflexes longer

We have been working with Lisa for about 6 months. My child has made excellent progress and Lisa keeps me informed and keeps me learning. She creates relatable scenarios that make things simpler to deal with. My child has learned to manage emotions, self calm, think things through and make better choices. Our weekly visit with Lisa is a top priority! Kayla, up front, is friendly and great at communicating and juggling schedules.

We have been working with Sherrie for 10 years. She has been absolutely amazing in helping us navigate RAD, developmental trauma and give our kiddo the tools needed to help her be successful. So glad she was able to open her own practice. She is truly a life saver! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.
