Dr. O'Leary performed a 2 level laminectomy on my spine in 2017. The original plan was a fusion as well. During his careful inspection of the injury during surgery he chose not perform the fusion, only the laminectomy. His integrity, experience and knowledge saved me from a more invasive surgery. I have been pain free since! I mountain bike, swim, play tennis and golf. Thank you Dr. O'Leary.
Dr. O'Leary is the preeminent back surgeon in New York. He is a brilliant and most creative surgeon. He performed a fusion surgery on me four years ago. I have been pain free since then. Before the operation my pain was 9.5! He will operate only if the patient cannot tolerate the pain, which is evidence of his sincerity, responsibility and dedication to operating only as a last resort, as opposed to those who may be only too happy to operate on request. Yours sincerely, Dr. James Sterling Assistant Clinical Professor Department of Psychiatry Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai
Dr O'leary is one of Gods angles. I am living a beautiful life as a result of his skill. Almost, if not everyone I know that had the surgery I had is suffering. I am perfectly fine. Thank you Dr. O'Leary!!!!
Worst experience at such a young age. 14 years old diagnosed with a 56 degree angle. Spinal fusion was my only option at this point. After long research Dr O'Leary was the best option. With a PMH of asthma, he decided to use an anterolateal approach which included removing a few ribs and deflating a lung, which increases the risk. Going into surgery with 56 degree angle I was so happy to have his done because I was finally going to be pain less and my physical appearance wouldn't have to suffer. Little did I know the surgery would be a WASTE. Came out of surgery with still a 56 degree angle. What did you do during surgery? "I made a misjudgement" was his response. Well now your misjudgment if the result of my pain and depression of looking different.
On JUNE 7, 2000 .I HAD A SPINAL FUSION DONE BY DR.O'LEARY.. 17 YEARS LATER..I MUST SAY THAT HE WAS MY ANGEL. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY BACK SINCE THAT SURGERY.. 👍👍TWO THUMBS UP ....
