I’m constantly recommending this location. People ask about my Italian designer glasses from CITIPEOPLE. Shirley helped me pick them out after asking a few questions about my style goals. I love Dr. Furman and have been coming for 10 years. Some of the customer service issues I’ve seen outlined here do exist, but I always approach the staff with compassion and it’s always worked out for me.

Wonderful staff, wonderful service. I have been a patient of Dr. Furman's for a long time and the staff has always consistently gone the extra mile to try to help me in any way possible. They remember me and give personal, custom attention – and the office environment is always warm and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Furman and West Side Opticians over the large franchise companies and other independent providers, many of which I have tried over the years. 5 STARS!

Just moved to the neighborhood a few months and I was looking for an eye doctor. Dr. Furman’s, she’s great! No complaints there but their customer service leaves a lot to desire! I could write more about my experience with these two older gentlemen who work behind the counter and their lacking of customer service skills! But I’ll try to keep it simple. I will definitely NOT recommended this place and I WILL DEFINITELY not go back to them! If the doctor has another practice, I would still see her but I will not give my business due to those two individuals behind the counter!

Dr. Furman is great, as are her helpful and knowledgeable staff. Came in with a prescription that I didn't realize had just expired, and they were able to squeeze me in for an eye exam and even stayed late to help! They accept VSP in-network unlike most other providers in the area. Only downside is that they don't really sell designer frames, but they're happy to work with existing frames. Great provider.

Dr. Furman is terrific!
