OU Health Physicians — Surgery Clinic

Worst place to go in Tulsa! From rude receptionists who don't enter your appointments to the system to the prison like security its just not comfortable or inviting. Not only is there at least 3 or more cops they have a little room for them at the parking garage too...7 security guards and they are all strategically placed to catch people making mistakes when driving so they can ticket them when they visit the doctor. Imagine coming to the doctor and getting diagnosed with cancer, then leaving upset and rolling the stop sign and then getting pulled over by a cop and they give you a ticket. But because your upset they treat you as confrontational and arrest you. Would definitely try to go elsewhere if possible.

No problems with the doctors or technicians. They are lovely. The staff who checks you in, answers the phone etc, those individuals can write whatever they want in your OU chart even if it’s their opinion and you can’t dispute it, erase it, or message anyone about it. It’s just there. The staff are supposed to write in your chart a summary of what is said during calls. They paraphrase and sometimes only put in comments to paint you in a negative way. If you call back to ask to have the comments removed or to add comments to your own health record, you will be ignored. The comments will stay on your OU record and anyone who reads it will act as if it’s the truth. It’s best to be completely robotic and unemotional when dealing with the staff. I was referred here by my primary physician to have a lipoma on my neck checked/removed. The surgeon sent me to get an MRI & told me that he would make sure my insurance covered it, but a few weeks later I received a bill for $800. After paying the bill, and not hearing back from them for a couple of weeks, I called them to see what the next step was and was told that the surgeon was out of town and that they would contact me once he was back. This was in the beginning of January, and I still haven't heard back from them. Definitely would not recommend.

Thank goodness for the amazing team of Physicians, Surgeons, and incredible staff!! I've never seen such a well tuned organization like this before! They've always gone above and beyond to accommodate me, encourage me, and really answer all my questions!

I am going here for my foot and I see Dr. Lateef Lawal Jr. I have got nothing but excellent service from him and the staff. I feel like they have a care and concern for my well being and if you are looking for someone who is gonna talk to you like your important and not just a paycheck than I recommend him!
