Oral Surgery Associates and Dental Implants Center

My husband was the patient. He is a 100% disabled Veteran, however, we paid a significant amount of money to have his procedure performed through Humana(100% Veterans receive 0 cost for Dental procedures). The procedure was performed my husband was fine and no complications. The Doctor and staff were most accommodating and professional. Thank you, I just wanted to do my due diligence and get him the best and expedient care possible with or without VA. Finally I would implore everyone to stop repeating this “Thank you for your service “. There is no genuine display by the American people. This is just something a person relayed on Social Media and now it’s an automatic response that’s “Hollow “ and annoying by most Veterans. If you really mean it, show it by not Charging an exorbit

So far, it's been such a headache and very frustrating. It feels like your care isn't that important to the Athens office. I sent a dental referral four times after my consult in mid-November and called four times to follow up. They never made contact with me, but when they finally acknowledged receipt of the referral, they told me they can't even see me until next year, AFTER my insurance will change. I will happily find a more caring dental healthcare provider than this to use. After they finally reached back out, they told me it would be over $11K for a 1-hr full-mouth extraction.

I was pleased with the service. I had one tooth extracted. I’ve had other issues addressed in the past at this location & would not hesitate to use this practice again. They followed up with me the afternoon of the extraction to make sure I was doing well. Good experience.

If I could give zero stars I would. If this is the best oral surgery clinic that Athens, GA has to offer, then we’re in big trouble. Everything was fine until Dr. Pollack BROKE my surrounding molar while extracting my wisdom teeth. He told me about while I was coming off of sedation so of course I had no recollection of it until I regained feeling in my mouth and felt the sharp edge of my tooth. Luckily, my sister got a video of him telling me and his first response was “I didn’t even pull that hard, it must’ve already been broken.” Mind you I have TWO very recent sets of X-rays which say otherwise. I already have pretty bad dental anxiety but I have tried to be proactive to try to avoid more costly and extensive repairs in the future… I called the office the Monday after my wisdom teeth e

Charges for initial consultation were not explained. I called after receiving a steep bill and they were just rude. Poor communication overall, so I did not schedule my procedure with them. Found another provider I felt better about.
