Optum Urgent Care - Carmel

I went in still coughing and stuffy. I said I had been sick since Wednesday and needed a note for work. The Dr. Who said his name was something like Edamam refused me the note. He told me I wasn't sick and had no proof I had been sick even though I was still coughing. This guy was a real piece of work. He should not be dealing with people because he has no bedside manner.I will now have to find a new place to go when I am sick.

I've been to this urgent care twice now and both times were very pleasant. The staff is so friendly, especially with children, and they're all very kind and caring. They're efficient and got us what we needed.

I visited Optum Care yesterday and I was really impressed. The nurses and doctors were very good, very kind, and helpful. Even though there were a lot of people waiting, they still took care of everyone with attention. This place deserves a higher rating

These urgent care offices seem to think Covid, the Flu, and Strep are the only 3 illnesses that exist. If you don’t test positive on one of their rapid tests (famous for false negatives), then you’re not sick enough for them to care. To any illness not listed above, the cure is to “ drink fluids “. These places really gotta start staffing people that care. Maybe it’s not the staff as much as it’s Optum’s policy’s. A lot of doctors are running from Optum at the moment.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this location. I’ve had multiple appointments with different doctors here pre covid, I’ve gone to the urgent care during covid for an almost broken toe, I’ve done virtual visits through the virtual CareMount and all the doctors and staff have been so nice. During covid they’ve been very safe, keeping everyone social distanced and as less people as possible. Visits are easy, you make the call from your car while you’re in the parking lot and wait to be called without having to be with a big crowd. Temperature checks and everyone is covered up and suited up. Love this Brewster location. Conveniently located.
