Optum Pediatrics - Upper East Side

The doctors are still terrific, but since Optum took over, it has become unrecognizable due to its lack of care and service. We have been with this wonderful group of pediatricians for almost 20 years. How sad that Optum Health has ruined our experience and made it a maze to get help, and a lack of employees who clearly are not cared for and therefore can't care for us. I love the doctors, but do not recommend the office if you want to be treated as a human, not a number. Felix is the exception. Without him we would have left sooner.

My daughter is now 6 years old and I will never forget our one and only visit with Karyn Ginsberg. I delivered at Lenox Hill Hospital with Dr. Ketly Michel who is an absolutely phenomenal OBGYN and deserves all praises. I could not have had a better birthing experience so we trusted the recommendation to have our newborn visit with Ginsberg at Park Avenue Pediatrics which is apparently now Optum Pediatrics. The office is dated, but I don't mind that as long as there is quality care provided. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I have been bringing my teen son here for 3 years and the doctors and staff have always been great. I’m taking the time to write this review today because the team went out of their way to get my sons forms completed same day so he could stay on his basketball team. My son may have misplaced the forms done earlier in school year and Felix at the front desk was so responsive and helpful in ensuring it was done yesterday. When one form was still missing I sent my son to have that form done and they completed it while he waited. I really appreciate their assistance in this. It’s hard teaching teens responsibility and I think the stress my son was under realizing he may not be able to play with his team taught him a valuable lesson but the staff really helped to make this situation less stress

Terrible impersonal factory this office has become. Been with this office for 20 years and since it became part of Optum Health feel like I am interacting with a government agency . Can’t even fine someone to ask about medical form. Send a message to the office via the chart and told response in 48 hours! I love the doctors, but going by to leave this office now especially since all my kids are now 16+. Do not recommend the office if you want to be treated as a parent, not a number.

I highly recommend Dr. Luttinger for her exceptional bedside manners, attentive staff especially Felix at the front desk, and prompt service during urgent visits. Having a pediatrician like her available within 15 minutes of calling for an urgent appointment is priceless. Our experience has been consistently positive, making them our go-to pediatrician for quality care.
