Optum Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus - Miller Place

I agree with the other people, I unfortunately spoke with the lady that seems woke up with the wrong foot. It saddens me that my daughter witnessed the manner in which she spoke to me. I had an issue with the account, that I couldn’t restore it, and she kept telling me the password is this, but then I asked her whats the ID if I dont have it, she said she already told me (clearly not if I am asking you!!) Her tone was rude and dismissive, as if I wanted to deal with the issue early in the morning. However, they subsequently called me to inform me that the doctor would not be seeing anyone that day. I accepted the cancellation and was rescheduled for another day this week, only to receive another call canceling the appointment. It seems prudent to seek an alternative office.

My son was seen there and without my permission they used my HRA card and charged over $200 twice. They store your card information and will use it without asking you. While I provide the insurance for my children, I was not at this appointment, it was my ex-wife. It has been months now and if you speak to the front desk / administration, they tell you to speak to Optum billing. Literally , they have no connection to Optum billing but want you to do all of the work to get the money that was stolen from me. I’ve been to the Office about eight times to try to rectify the situation. Today, “Optum billing” that has my old card number on file tried to refund the money to the old card that no longer exists. Why do they have my credit card information on file period? Do not give them your HRA

Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The Dr. and PA?? were terrific and very thorough. Would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs this type of ophthalmologist.

Very unprofessional staff. Office manager did come out to attempt to smooth over the situation but she doesn't realize that her staff member doesn't respect her position of authority since she behaved that way under her watch. Effies attitude should be addressed immediately. In a pediatric office rude and obnoxious staff should never be employed there. Very disappointed in our visit.
