Once upon a time I hated going to the dentist. Like, with the passion of Zeus. I would fight the anxiety in my brain, trying to convince it that I could make it through another session in a dental chair, but the anxiety always turned to panic, blasting out of me with an exit velocity that could launch a rocket into space. When I moved to Northern VA, I had to find a new dentist, and the fates conspired with the universe, leading me to Optimum Dental and the caring hands of Dr. Balderson and her staff. I say the following with the utmost conviction: if our planet became a post-apocalyptic wasteland I would STILL go to Optimum Dental for my care, fighting hordes of mutant zombies just to get my teeth cleaned. Got the recommendation from my friend. Growing up always nervous and anxious going to the dentist. However I can’t brag enough about Optimum, from the time I made a phone call to make my first appointment Kim had been a saint answering my never ending questions and follow up questions plus asking for early appointment. And she did (actually) contacted me everytime there was a cancellation to see if my schedule would fit. Then, coming to my appointment, Andrea attentively helped me with all the procedures and understood my nervousness. Not to mention that I got offered blanket etc to ease my anxiety. Dr. B and her team are the most professional, caring, knowledgeable, gentle, and experts in the DMV area. As someone who has a very complicated lifelong dental history and ongoing intensive dental needs -- I can say of the hundreds of dentists I have been to that this practice is the ABSOLUTE BEST. Everything is perfection from A to Z at Optimum Dental. From the ease of scheduling with Kim, to the clear payment options from Genet, to the quality care from Diana, Crystal, Andrea, and Beth, to the incredibly attentive, long-term, and high quality dentistry from Dr. B--there is no where else I would rather be. I normally hate anything to do with teeth. But I had a filling today and I completely fell asleep during it. My numbing block was painless. Can’t say enough good things about my experience with Optimum Dental! The team overall was amazing, everyone was very welcoming and the office is clean, beautiful, and inviting. Andrea was extremely detailed, thorough, and efficient and fixed my tooth pain right away. Dr. B is such a knowledgeable and experienced professional who knew exactly how to treat my condition and prevent it from worsening down the road.
