OhioHealth Urgent Care Athens

I was scared to go to this urgent care due to all of the negative reviews, but I was very sick college student and had no other choice. I am glad I went. The staff was efficient, patient, kind, and comforting. I was having trouble hearing at the front desk and the staff was very patient with me. When I got to the back the nurse was very kind and efficient. The wait was not long at all, and even then the provider apologized. She explained what her treatment plan was as well as her diagnosis and the prognosis for my common cold virus. She was not dismissive and even told me to look out for a few things and not to be scared to reach out. I was in and out in a timely manner and my prescription was sent before I even left the office. 6/5 stars.

I am very disappointed on my visit today. My nurse was so kind and amazing but when the NP came in she had such a bad attitude and belittled me and completely disregarded my concerns. I left without a diagnosis. Waste of money

Called on Sunday evening and they were able to see me in the same hour. Short wait in office and quickly diagnosed and prescribed meds. Great care and easy turnaround.

My experience with Urgent Care was good. The receptionist was very nice and my wait was short. The nurse and my care provider (Cory) were also very nice and easy to talk to. My visit only took about 40 minutes, I left with a diagnosis and was able to go directly to the pharmacy to pick up my medication. I did make an appointment in advance.

I have been going to this urgent care for 18+ years. They always get me and my kids in right away with the exception of Covid pandemic which was a challenge for us all. I'm so happy they got back to somewhat normalcy (whatever that is, Lol). The staff are always smiling and make you feel welcomed. My recent visit was one of the best. I had an allergic reaction and they got me in quickly with hardly no wait time. The receptionists were there to greet, check me in, and both were very friendly and with big smiles. This alone really brightened my day. The nurses were friendly, jokingly, and smiling. The doctor was so empathetic, friendly, and gave me the right medications to reverse the reaction almost immediately. I just want to say thank you and you all do such an amazing job!
