Root Canal I am contacting you today to express my appreciation to Dr. Welsh’s at Dental Arts for her referral to Dental Depot for a root canal procedure on January 24, 2025. Anyone who has had a root canal procedure knows that it is kind of stressful. Between Dr. Welsh’s referral and having Dr. Susi perform the procedure, everything went smoothly. I did not want to have to travel a great distance to get a root canal and I especially did not want to have to go to Columbus. Dr.Susi is at Dental Depot two times a month which allowed me to get the root canal closer to home. I live approximately 20 minutes from Athens and this certainly made the procedure less stressful. I recently visited Athens Dental Arts due to severe tooth pain and was disappointed with the service I received. Despite my urgent condition, the clinic only took pictures and referred me to another location in West Virginia for a root canal, which would require a two-week wait. They mentioned they would call if there were cancellations, but the prospect of waiting in pain was concerning. When I called to request an extraction instead, they informed me that I would need to wait over a month to be seen in another building. This was highly frustrating and unacceptable given the severity of my pain. In contrast, another dental office I contacted provided exemplary service. I've been a patient of Athens Dental Arts for well over twenty years. The dentists and hygienists who have treated me have been professional and cordial. The staff have been respectful, efficient, and pleasant to deal with. When our daughter was young, the practice was able to accommodate her well, and to see her at the same time as my wife was being seen. My family and I have had some "dental emergencies" over that time, and the dentists at ADA have always stepped up to help us quickly. Our experience has always been very positive.

I am an elderly male and I have to say this is worse place to go. They operate on what I would say is spite. They will take an x-ray and base everything on that x-ray. they didn't look in my mouth at all. I ended up going to a different dentist in Parkersburg and it's a completely different story and I am taken care of. Athens Dental Arts referred me to Columbus and just walked out.. I will never go back to this place.
