Ochsner Pharmacy & Wellness - New Orleans

For a pharmacy to advertise they are open 24hours, they sure refuse to answer the phone. And judging by all of the other comments going back months, nobody has taken this seriously and corrected the situation. I called for 15 min. Either fully staff a 24 hour pharmacy or put it back to regular hours. Management needs to step in.

I’ve called this pharmacy probably 7 times in the past 2 months and I’ve never had anyone pickup the phone. One time I waited to see how long it take for someone to pick up and I eventually hung up after 35 minutes. I also made the mistake of going in person to the pharmacy, there were probably 10 people in front of me, I stood there 15 min before leaving, not one person moved ahead in line. I’m not sure anyone actually works back there. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else.

The overnight pharmacist, Jeremy, was pleasure to speak to! Kind, compassionate, and quick with our medications needed. I know he is an asset to the team!

It is a cheating pharmacy. I ordered and paid for 60 pills of colchicine on July 1. But pharmacist Bridgette Lai gave me only 30 pills. The reason I know it is 30 pills because after taking the drug for 2 weeks, I only had 3 pills left — taking 2 pills a day. I went to the pharmacy to complain the shortage of the medicine, one pharmacist gave me some more, but it was only for 10 more days. That made up the total of 50 pills. In other words, they still own me 10 pills for five days. Today, I go the pharmacy to complain about the shortage again, but pharmacist Bridgette Lai refuses to give me the remaining medicine. Instead, I have to buy the 10 shortage pills. What a cheating it is!!!

Overall my stops here have been decent. Mistakes here or there but it’s a busy pharmacy in a hospital so of course that will happen. But today does it. This prescription is not covered by insurance so cash price is always expected. My prescription in the app and when quoted over the phone was $30. Then I arrive and it is $549.00. I told the cashier it was a different price over the phone and on the app (I had a screenshot.) So she goes to the pharmacist and comes back to tell me she can do $40. 🤷🏼 She explains that prices fluctuate depending upon the manufacturer, and I ask her if the price fluctuated from $30 to $549 to $40 in four hours. She throws up her hands, says I can have it for $30 and walks away after telling me if I don’t like it I could go elsewhere. All I wanted was a consis
