Ochsner Lafayette General Urgent Care - Sugar Mill Pond

Seemed like a long wait due to flu season but absolutely the best experience we’ve had in a long time! In and out with a diagnosis, shots and prescriptions in 2 hours as a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon. Front desk kind and helpful, intake nurse was friendly, knowledgeable and proficient, Dr. Samii was caring, listened, professional and quickly got us fixed up. Injection nurse was comforting with humor and delightful! We were even nicely acknowledged as we left by another staff member. Good experience (under the circumstances)!

This place is a money grab. I was told if my symptoms continued for more than 2 to 3 days that I would need a second appointment. They would not extend my prescription even though my symptoms continued past 2 to 3 days. Absolutely a money grab.

Normally reviews are for the negative experience you had places. But not here. I can honestly say, this is hands down the best clinic I’ve ever used before. A friend of mine works here but she wasn’t working this day. But I told her I was in need of a visit because I just got bit by a dog. She texted her co workers for me to give them a heads up I was on my way. I got lucky and was the only one there. So went straight to the back. Every single nurse or staff that I encountered was extremely pleasant. Then, the doctor. By far the most gentle, just well rounded doctor I’ve encountered. I felt like he was someone I wouldn’t have to battle to advocate for myself like most these days. And then today! I open my mail to find a note saying “get well soon” and all the staff had signed the card. Now

Fantastic urgent care! The staff and providers are friendly and patient. They are thorough and take their time making sure you get the right treatment. My family has used them several times, and I recommend them without hesitation. Thank you and keep up the great work!
