NYU Langone Radiology–Woodbury

Pros: Reception was great and the facility was clean. Cons: they tell you to arrive 30 minutes early to your scan and then still don’t start it until 2 hours past your actual appointment time. I have been to many radiology centers in the past but this is the only one I would never go back to. Why should patients be expected to arrive so early when NYU doesn’t show patients the same courtesy? Thankfully my scan wasn’t cancer related but past scans of mine were and if i was waiting for one of those scans sitting by myself for 2.5 hours I would have been riddled with anxiety and unable to get into an mri machine by the time it was my turn. Came here for the first time yesterday for an mri enterography of my stomach. I was greeted immediately by a friendly receptionist who checked me in right away. I didn’t have to wait too long before taken to a nurse who was very kind & went over everything that would be going on today. I have some piercings in my ear that are difficult to remove & they used a device to confirm if it was safe to wear them in the machine or not. The Breeza drink wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Definitely kicks in quick though & good to know where all of the bathrooms are. (They do offer adult diapers if needed during the exam) Half way thru another nice nurse came along to get my iv started. I hate getting these because every time it has always been so painful….the girl who did mine yesterday made it

Reception took me promptly. Dan, the CT tech was able to retrieve something important I’d dropped. It was in a tricky place but he managed to get it for me. This was really special service.

I just left my bone density test here and I'll definitely be back if I need anything else done. The office itself is very clean, and gave off a nice and calm vibe which I needed because I was feeling very anxious. Karen greeted me and brought me back. She told me I just had to lay down and it would be painless, which it was. We talked about dogs for the few minutes I was in there and I left smiling. 100% would recommend this place for the staff and the office itself

I really did enjoy giving my business to this place, however the other day I went inside the office to make a radiology appointment and the front desk receptionist Taylor stated to me “front desk aren’t allowed to make appointments” I think that’s pathetic and unprofessional, honestly Taylor looked like she didn’t want to work, so I took business to zwanger pesiri where you get treated like the patient you are! NYU just lost money because of this “new protocol” if I’m at the office why do I need to call, girl you are right in front of me!! I work in the medical field and the last thing a front desk should do is lose a patient on purpose .
