NYU Langone Radiology - 32nd Street

Terrible!!!! My mother was scheduled for an MRI. They canceled last minute sighting problems with insurance. I called and, apparently, there was no problem at all according to the representative. She reinstated the MRI, but then it was canceled again. This whole situation happened twice more. Really incompetent! The day of the appointment, my sister and I called and called but couldn’t talk to anyone. My mother is 88 years old and needed this appointment. Really terrible experience.

I am claustrophobic, going to have an MRI done even with medication is rough. The three nurses that helped me through this were nothing short of amazing. They were patient, understanding and compassionate. They gave me a few options on how to get through it and one of the nurses stayed in the room with me. They took a little longer to do the test as they kept checking in to make sure I was okay! I am so appreciative, normally I’m faced with people that just don’t have the patience and understanding to even get me through the MRI.

An extremely unprofessional, badly managed, and poorly staffed facility. I was shocked by the level of service at NYU Radiology. My MRI was scheduled for 3:30 pm with an arrival time of 3:00 pm. I arrived at 2:40 pm because they had called to ask if I could come earlier. From the moment I was taken inside they rushed me relentlessly. They refused to let me change into a hospital gown, despite the safety risk of wearing my own clothes in an MRI machine because of possible metal in garments. They wouldn’t even let me remove my shoes, and they never checked my clothing or footwear for metal parts. While I was placing my bag and coat in the locker, the technician, Clay, stood over me, staring and pressuring me to hurry. I told him I would be right over; he didn’t leave and offered me absolutel

Please do not schedule any appointment with this center, staff is very abusive and don't give dam about your appointment timing. Once again do not ever go to this center otherwise you will regret forever.

I want to say that I just had a GREAT experience at the Radiology Center at Langone at 32dt street. I had to have an MRI and I am VERY VERY claustrophobic. The good experience with this place all started with technician Mr. Roger Bow, a gentle true professional, who, upon a phone request, allowed me to visit the place about a week before previous to the appointment. He gave his busy time to patiently show me the machine ahead of time and get me acquainted with it, explain many details, answer many questions including ways to get into the tube, ideal speed to be brought in, options to get two way glasses that allow you to see the outside of the tube, how far my head would be to the end of machine and how close to the top, given my height and size, you name it!!
