Nuvance Health Medical Practice - Primary Care Newtown

My husband and I tried to book as first time patients. The receptionist was very rude and would not try to ask others within company for reliable information to better answer our questions. It seems like they have a very strict policy that their doctors/PCPs would not be able to do physicals on first time appointments if they do not have the time. I think it is very standard care to do physicals with first time patient appointments.

For the most part I like the facility...everything seems new, organized, and clean. My boys doctor is personable enough that we are OK keeping her on. My problem comes from the fact that the Doctors don't ever return your calls. They will communicate thru the nurses only. Although I have nothing but respect for the nurses it's is not their job to read lab work to the patients or answer a patient question as a 3rd party. I have never taken my children to a clinic where the doctor won't get on the phone with the parent and answer questions. Instead I was told if I needed further assistance that I should make another appt. Why would I ever charge up my insurance card if it's not necessary? Not sure if we will continue here but for now it's convenient.
