Novant Health Urgent Care – Beaufort (Formerly Doctors Care)

This my first time at this urgent care, and my experience was satisfactory. The urgent care was opened on time and the hours on the door was accurate. In comparison to the time that they opened. The space in-between the doors was clean and fresh smelling. Once in the lobby area, it was very clean. And the bathroom in the lobby was clean. Once I checked in I was told that the provider was going to be late. I was told the provider should be to the office in 15 min. Once the provider arrived the nurse called me back. But my info was not in the system, so they had nothing to go by. The MA was very nice, courteous, and knowledgeable. I am writing to express my concern regarding my experience at your urgent care facility today. I had a scheduled appointment at 10:30 AM, yet I was not seen by the doctor until 12:45 PM. During this time, I observed the receptionist checking in multiple patients who arrived after me, and the nurse repeatedly calling those patients to see a doctor ahead of me. I ultimately did not leave the facility until approximately 1:15 PM. I want to be clear that the doctor I saw at the clinic is excellent and highly qualified. My concern lies not with her care, but with the staff who support her. The disorganization and lack of basic patient flow management were unacceptable and deeply frustrating. I was impressed when I walked in the front door, the friendliness of the receptionist, the triage nurse and the PA who I was seen by. That really made a difference. I was not feeling well at all and their professionalism and friendliness really made a difference! Thank you to the staff!

This urgent care exceeded my expectations. The check-in was smooth, the facility was spotless, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. I felt well taken care of from start to finish. Hearing an urgent with laughter warmed my heart! The ladies there seemed like one happy family! Absolutely horrible experience. Doctor (PA) ordered blood work. Nurse couldn't find a vein and asked me to come back and someone else would be able to get it and there would not be another charge. Absolute lie. I came back to find out they wanted to charge me again. The doctor kept trying to talk over me while I was trying to explain what I was told. Terrible facility. You are treated as a cash cow and not a person. Stay away.
