I accompanied my wife to this facility when she was in a very fragile and exhausted state. Despite this, we waited for hours with virtually no attention or proper follow-up on her condition. What made it even more perplexing was that there was no overcrowding or number of patients to justify this inexplicable delay. Unfortunately, the performance of some members of the nursing staff fell below the professional standards expected in a healthcare facility. We were told to wait for additional hours without any logical explanation, and no attempt was made to reassure my wife or seriously assess her condition. I was taken by the paramedics to NorthWest General Hospital’s emergency room last Friday. From the ED staff, ie; nurses, technicians, and physicians were AMAZING! They were very calm, caring, professional, and answered any questions that I had and they kept me in the loop by explaining everything that was taken place very throughly to myself and wife. KUDOS to the ER staff! I was equally impressed with the care that I received from the Stroke, Respiratory Unit. Dr. Austin and his team, including the Therapists were very knowledgeable, they actually care about my wellbeing, very thorough and direct, which I appreciated. The staff there really know how to make a patient and family comfortable. From tne ER to 3rd floor nurses and a caring Housekeeping tech, & others were attentive and helped me though my moms passing seamlessly. Im Grateful my mom had her final few days there.

My mother was brought to the ER by ambulance the night of October 5th. Once she was brought in the back during triage the gentleman initially was attempting to downplay everything I said about her symptoms and was even going to put her in the waiting room. It wasn't until the doctor examined her that he clearly saw something was wrong and had them find her a room straight from triage. Once in the back the assistant was putting chucks on the bed and one fell on the floor on the backside and she couldn't find more so she put it on the bed. I mentioned to her someone's blood was on the tray in the room and after 10 minutes I cleaned it myself and she told me she would do it but I didn't want someone to unknowingly to put supplies on it. So definitely lookout for cross contamination. Those

The absolute worst hospital on the planet! If you love your family member DO NOT go there!! Since COVID the staff has only appeared to be interested in a check! No compassion, under educated in serving the masses and should not be allowed to work with patience. If a paycheck is all ypu come to work for, you should stay home!!! Family is all you have but take them to NW and you are signing a death wish! They care less! Don't be trick by the new edition or the upgraded newly designed facilities, that's the only thing that has changed and its misleading!
