I would give no stars if this was an option. New patient, took two weeks to get someone to return my call (I should have known then). I called 45 minutes prior to say i was running just a little late in traffic and was turned away by the receptionist who had the gall to snicker at me and say 'you're 16 minutes late and we're very busy.' Not only was I the only person there, but the other receptionist also just shrugged and said ' oh we don't check voicemail, you can make another appointment .' Given that kind of disrespectful, disgusting behavior from the front desk, I don't even want to set foot in this building ever again. Best of luck if you do.

I have been using Northern medical specialists for over 10 years now. I have used the offices in mahopac and Brewster and never had any issues in either. I am surprised at these poor ratings. Yes it has been a little bit harder to contact doctors over the years however every medical group is growing if you haven't noticed. I'm sure that their patient load has gotten much more vast. I've always been treated with respect as well as my husband. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I’ve been a patient at Northern Medical for 30 years. My primary care and cardiologist are top notch doctors. Don’t pay attention to the old reviews. The phone system is all up to date and reaching the office is very reliable.

I see a lot of terrible reviews and that most are older, so I wanted to add a good one. My husband and I recently left our primary practice in search of a new one and found this one. They have clearly heeded poor reviews as the phone wait is not long and gives you options for leaving messages. Staff have been responsive and warm and the physician is thorough, friendly, and attentive. I hope people are not turned off by some of the bad experiences people had in the past. Again, to be clear as they have lots of offices, we have dealt with Brewster/ Dr. Koutelos and I also had a telehealth with a doctor from the Mahopac office.

4 weeks after I posted the review below, there has been no improvement whatsoever. Today November 30, I waited 15 minutes to contact anybody in the office and when no one answered and I gave up. I called back and tried to leave a general voicemail by following the prompts (by dialing 9) and I got an "invalid number" response! So you cannot even leave a voicemail. Whatever IT company added the voicemail option did not even bother to check whether it works, which is astounding. It doesn't work. I tried back for the third time and someone finally picked up after waiting another 12 minutes. The administration of this doctor office is hopeless. If you really need a doctor do not use this doctor group. Contacting this Doctor Group is nearly impossible. You call them , are put on a very very l
