Northern Light Mayo Hospital

The OB unit was great when I had my daughter. However. If you are in an emergency, and need life saving measures, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. They’ll laugh in the next room while your loved one dies, cracking jokes, like the disgusting people they are. The “emergency room” is a bandaid at Mayo, NOT A TRAUMA CENTER. I’ll repeat it, DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU NEED YOUR LIFE SAVED. Also in my experience, I had an ovarian cyst rupture, the doctor (male) told me it was just my period bc he was about to clock out and go home. Lazy is an understatement at this hospital. People that should have life flight end up dying bc they lack knowledge and critical thinking skills. Oh and don’t forget sympathy. I’d give no stars if I could. Better than the Elliot!!!! I was in Maine moving and ended up going into labor and I am so grateful that I did. I had Dr. Wagner as my doctor and she was absolutely amazing.. it was a new place and my plan did not go as I wanted but they helped me through it and helped me push out my BIG baby.. the nurses both day and night were also incredible. I have had 2 children before this and I wish it was in this hospital. If you need to deliver a baby I suggest going here.. just so AMAZING.

Was sent to northern light emergency department by my PCP. An ambulance picked me up at her office. Everyone in the emergency department was caring, compassionate, and worked together to help me. I was then sent to a regular room for five days. From CNAs, to nurses, to the doctors... They we're helpful and very explanatory. I was scared and they were listening! They helped relieve my fears and found a solution.

When you have an appointment at 7 AM and everybody’s just showing up here at 7 o’clock, People should be here before appointments so they are ready when peoples appointments arise instead of getting there right at 7

One star is too high for this hospital. They discharged a veteran with mental health challenges to a homeless shelter without warning. This veterans bill was being fully paid for by the VA. The veteran had no ID and no way to access their funds. If they had waited another two weeks (they had already been at the hospital for 3 months) the person would have at least been able to have access to money for hotel and food. Unconscionable that they have such disregard for human life. The social worker literally said they have been taking up 1/8 of our beds for 3 months it's been long enough.
