I had the pleasure to assist Dr Hodges for a year in Portland; I’m truly sad he left us. Dr Hodges brings extensive knowledge to his new office; he has many years of experience. He is compassionate and honest; he truly cares for his patients and staff. Dr Hodges is a great communicator, very detail oriented, passionate about what he does, trustworthy, easy to talk to, and a true leader. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a dentist; Essex Family Dental is gaining a great one!

I chipped the back of one of my front teeth and Dr. Hodges fixed it for me. The repair was done so well and is so smooth that it feels like my natural tooth. He is one of the most thorough dentists I've ever received care from and I felt as though he genuinely cared about my dental concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Hodges to any of my friends and family and have been highly satisfied with the care I have received from him!

I have had the pleasure of assisting Dr. Hodges for two years. I can honestly say he does some of the best work I’ve ever seen. He has an astounding background and knowledge of everything dental. Dr.Hodges really cares about every patient he sees, he goes above and beyond just routine care. He takes his time and makes sure he is nothing but thorough. I wouldn’t be shocked if patients at our office in Portland start making the long road trip just to see him at his new office ,Essex Street Family Dental. He’s one of the only dentist I trust with my oral care.

I had a periomaintenance appointment this morning, which I have every three months due to my unfortunate gingivitis. I was greeted cordially by reception and by the hygenist that was going to do the procedure. I then informed her I am a high anxiety patient and that I would need topical anesthesia to minimize any pain that may be heading my way, and that my dentist in Arizona prescribes me valium for which I had taken to combat my anxiety. First I was informed by the hygenist that to have that topical it would have to be two different visits, and that I would need a driver to take me home (good luck.. I live 33 miles away). I was confused then angry that they would double my insurance deduction and of course my own payment responsibility, when I have never, ever had this problem before

I recently went to a different dentist and was told I needed a root canal. I then went to Essex Street and found out that it would have been totally unnecessary! They saved my tooth! I had a restoration done today and it was easy peasy! I am so happy with my smile! Everyone there is super nice! Can't wait to go back. Thank you everyone at Essex Street Dental for my painless, stressless and fabulous smile! ! !
