After 4 years I needed an eye exam. My previous doctor retired. After doing my research I choose Dr Nichols. Made an appointment & wouldn't you know I got sick with a bad cold 🤧 😤 😪. I went in & with proper distance asked if they wanted to go ahead with the appointment or change dates. The left it up to me & for their own sake rescheduled. I was greeted both times with professionalism & friendly smiles. I am not a fan of some of the tests that goes with eye exams ( air puff, dilation) as my eye have always been very sensitive. The lady promised they don't do that. ( dilation only if needed). Everything was quick easy. Dr. Nichols was friendly, listened to my concerns & fully explained everything. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a jolly, upbeat, talkative person. As, I walked in I told the front desk lady Good Morning, (believe her name is Amy) I have a 10:00 appointment. I was then shushed while she pointed to the phone. My opinion, the woman could've placed the customer on hold for a second to assist me or at least direct me to her co-worker which then helped me. I also left with no prescription because I thought what was being handed to me was my prescription when I left. -I left in a bit of a hurry due to me being on my lunch break. So, I had my husband pick up my prescription the following day. I told him to make sure my PD was on there so I could look online for glasses. I have always had the best service dealing with Dr. Nichols' office and I'd rate it with the best service I've had anywhere. Inside the office they are sensitive to covid-19 and always very helpful and courteous. The only way this office won't help you is if they cannot reach you. So give them a call on the right number, and if they are there, they will happily help, and if it's outside hours, then they will return your call as they have done mine in the past. They also call me when my glasses are ready more than a couple times. Cheers to on-going service to the the Mt Pleasant and East Texas area!

Had to change my insurance in order to come back to Dr Nichols and his fabulous staffs great office.

Staff was kinda rude and not really helpful since the moment we checked in. The lady that called us back had an attitude like she was annoyed by every question or comment we gave. Especially being a “New Patient” we didn’t feel very welcomed . Honestly, probably won’t be coming back.
